23andMe
As you guys know, we are carrying out a mini IQ-GWAS. We are interested in collecting genomes from people with a high IQ (>130).
23andMe provides users with the option of downloading their genome. If you've already taken the 23andMe test, you are invited to email me your genome file.
And if you've not done 23andMe, it's a good idea to do so because it's cheap and very useful.
I guess that's a good reason to finally send in that kit I bought that's been gathering dust in a drawer.

Two questions:

Are you going to be requiring proof of >130 IQ?
Is there a time limit for emailing our genome files to you?

Some proof of IQ >130 is necessary. These can be IQ tests certificates (as those given by online high IQ societies, e.g. http://www.iq-test.com/),MENSA membership, SAT scores, etc.
I've never taken a 23andMe test because I'm concerned about the privacy of the data, but I think it's very important for people to continue conducting GWASes about intelligence, so this might motivate me to finally take one. However, when you add up the time it'll take for the test to arrive, and for me to send it in and for them to sequence it, it'll probably be over a month before I'm able to send you my genome. How soon will you need it in order for it to be useful for this study?

Max 2 months. So you should be fine.

IQ tests

These seem to agree well with each other as well as with other tests when I've compared results. All tests are nonverbal figure tests.

I haven't taken that. Friend of mine took mensa.dk one, and took the Mensa entrance test as well (called "Figure Reasoning Test"). He got pretty much the same score (138 vs. 135, these are sd=15 scaled).

I took the mensa.dk one and the sifter test and got 134 and 135 on sd-15 scale. Another friend of mine took mensa.dk and mensa.no tests and got 122 and 123. I tested some other bright physicist students who got scores around 135 on mensa.dk. I tested some linguistics students and they got scores in the 120 area.

From these casual observations, they seem to be pretty reliable measures.

Sidenote:

Daniels, J. C. (1986). Figure reasoning test: a non-verbal intelligence test. Lockwood.

From what I can tell from the sources cite this work, it seems to be mostly used in German-speaking countries. It's another matrix-type test so it is no wonder it agrees well with Raven's type tests.

There's a German language meta-analysis of job performance prediction with this test among others in Germany. http://hss.ulb.uni-bonn.de/2009/1708/1708.pdf
I'm sure there are plenty of brainy people out there who have posted their genomes online. Openpsych bonus points to you if you are able to find some. Razib Khans is supposed to be here, but I am unable to download it from my mobile phone:

Great site. If sb has some spare time they should go through that list and find very high achievers (phds/profs in math/physics/theoretical comp sci). Such people are bound to be over two stdevs on average.
Both me and my GF scored 125-129 on the Mensa tests. No participation for us then :( However, if we ever analyze conscientiousness...

Wow, thanks Emily. I do not have the time to do it now, but just picking a random woman from that list lead to the following: https://connects.catalyst.harvard.edu/profiles/display/Person/16636

Seems very promising.

Have you tried taking another test? If you score much higher, you could qualify (you'd have to score 136 on another test to raise your average above 130 (125 on Mensa + 136). E.g.: https://www.iq-test.com/shop/index.php
I was the one on the duller side so I do not have a chance (I'm more hard-working than anything, so Mensa is out of my league. I should start ASNEM or something...). I should rather ask my GF, perhaps test-prep will get her there.

Did you take multiple tests each? Which ones? I am asking because I want to cross-validate them against each other for research purposes.
Norwegian one only.

Here's the one from one of my friends. Mensa tests in the mid to high 130's.

Will be great if you write the participants ethnic extraction, if they do not mind (makes many types of testing possible).

Mine is attached. So is my friend's.

I'm mostly curious about the ancestry information. Perhaps post the picture here? You can censor the name as I did for my friend. Remember to set it to speculative, because I think those results are closer to the truth.

If you post the genome file to someone, remember to open the zip-file and change the filename. It has your name on it. The file contents however do not contain your name afaict.
I just got my results today—what would be the best way to send the raw data along with the proof of IQ? (And would you like ancestry information as well?)

Send it to my email: pifferdavide@gmail.com
Ok, will send along the text file and IQ certificate in a moment. I don't mind having my name linked to my ancestry info publicly, so I'll attach it here.

Your not minding to share your genome is further proof of your intelligence.
